Labor and Birth Care

On your special day, you will be welcomed by a familiar FWBC midwife who is eager to assist you on the journey to meet your new baby.

+ Labor support provided by midwives in a relaxed, modern environment

+ Continuous monitoring of you and your baby’s health during labor

+ Encouragement of mobility and nutrition during labor

+ Immediate skin-to-skin and delayed cord clamping

+ Birth preferences and birth experiences are respected

+ Husband, birth partners, doulas and families are included in your experience

Postpartum Care

+ Mothers are monitored at FWBC for 4-6 hours after giving birth

+ Newborn physical exam performed by a midwife

+ Immediate lactation assistance

+ Celebratory birthday cake prior to going home

+ 24-48 hour in-home postpartum visit

+ 2 and 6 week in-center postpartum visits

Lactation

+ On-site International Board Certified Lactation Consultants

+ Covered by most insurance plans, exam by a midwife

Dietitian

+ On-site Dietitian

+ Covered by most major insurance plans

+ Most birth center clients qualify for one visit during pregnancy

+ Dietitian program also available to non-pregnant clients desiring this service
