Jamie Hinton, LM, CPM

Jamie Hinton is a Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife with a decade of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Having attended more than 600 births as a midwife, Jamie brings extensive experience in prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum support, and newborn care. Her approach to midwifery emphasizes collaboration, informed decision-making, and honoring each family's individual needs, values, and birth preferences.

Before becoming a midwife, Jamie worked as a doula and childbirth educator, supporting hundreds of families through pregnancy and birth. Her professional journey began in education, where she taught middle school before discovering her passion for women's health. This background continues to shape her approach to care, as she believes education is an essential part of helping women feel confident and informed throughout their healthcare experiences.

Jamie earned her Certified Professional Midwife credential through the North American Registry of Midwives and became a Licensed Midwife in Texas in 2016. Throughout her career, she has remained actively involved in the local birth community, contributing to professional collaboration, maternal and infant health initiatives, and continuing education for fellow midwives. She is also furthering her own education as she works toward becoming a Certified Nurse-Midwife.

Jamie is excited to bring her experience and passion for personalized care to the Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center, where she values working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to supporting women and their families.

Outside of midwifery, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband of 22 years, their six children, and their dog. She also loves reading, writing, and sharing good food with great friends!
